Criminal Law
This firm handles a variety of criminal law matters, including charges of DUI, theft, assault, drug possession, and traffic offenses. At this time, we do not handle federal criminal charges – including tax offenses – or charges of murder, sexual abuse, or drug trafficking. The firm may begin handling a wider range of charges as it grows.
Criminal Cases are paid for up front by retainer. Retainers are sometimes paid in sections, depending on how long and involved the case becomes. The retainer is designed to cover all costs of the case, including fees and expenses, and you should not be billed any extra amounts. This firm takes criminal cases in Kentucky only.
This firm has years of experience in litigating the kinds of criminal cases discussed above, and examples of our work can be found on this website. When you call, you will get a free, face-to-face, confidential interview with Justin Lawrence, and an honest evaluation of your chances of success.
Examples of Our Work
- When a man was falsely accused by the police of committing Assault I, a Class B Felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, Justin Lawrence found the witness that absolved the accused of the crime.
- A man was accused of a DUI 2nd. Justin Lawrence was able to get his charges reduced to a DUI 1st based upon inconsistencies in the way the prior DUI conviction was handled.
- A man was accused of beating his child, and lost visitation based upon the allegations of the child's mother. Justin Lawrence took his case after reviewing the medical records and finding that the mother's claims had been falsified. The man regained visitation rights and the charges were merged.
- Charges of DUI 1st were dismissed against a man after Justin Lawrence challenged the police's assumption that prescription medications in the driver's system rendered him unable to operate a motor vehicle.
- When an ex-felon was charged with possession of a firearm, Justin Lawrence fought for his client by showing how he had reformed since he was released from prison. The man was ultimately pled out, but served no time in jail.
