MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
Medical Malpractice
Medical Malpractice has become a field of its own in recent years, as more and more laws are passed to change the field from its personal injury roots. This firm has experience in medical malpractice cases, and has a good relationship with a wide range of experts that can tell you if you may have a case against a medical provider.
Medical Malpractice cases include almost every conceivable injury, as long as the injury was caused by the medical provider, and not whatever sent you to the medical provider in the first place. What really defines this area of law is that the person being sued is a doctor, nurse, hospital, or other medical provider. Laws have recently been passed to protect these individuals from suit, even in situations where they would otherwise be at fault. As a result, experienced counsel is necessary to navigate the minefield that Medical Malpractice has become. We will handle Medical Malpractice cases in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
Medical Malpractice cases are paid for by contingency fee, meaning that you do not have to pay expenses or attorney's fees up front. If money is recovered, the case expenses and attorney's fees will be taken out of the settlement or judgment. Attorney's fees are a percentage of the total amount.
This firm has years of experience in litigating Medical Malpractice cases, and examples of our work can be found on this website. When you call, you will get a free, face-to-face, confidential interview with Justin Lawrence, and an honest evaluation of your chances of success.
Examples of Our Work
- A woman was involved in a car wreck and went to the emergency room. There, doctors failed to diagnose her shattered vertebrae, and sent her home with pain medications. Two days later, after throwing up from pain, she sought a second opinion and learned that her shattered vertebrae's bone fragments had worked into her spinal column. Justin Lawrence sued the doctors that failed to adequately diagnose the injury for damages incurred after the botched diagnosis.
- A man was admitted to the hospital after having collapsed, and was allowed to develop serious bedsores during his stay. At one time, the bedsores led the man's doctor's to consider amputation of his feet. Justin Lawrence sued the hospital for damages relating to the bedsores, allowing the man to recover for his injuries.
- A child was put in a psychiatric hospital, which then left her unguarded and allowed her to jump from a third story window. Justin Lawrence was able to recover money for the child for the injuries she sustained in the fall, and to ensure she was placed in another facility that could care for her.
