Keegan Facemire is an attorney with our Workerโs Compensation team. She graduated from Chase College of Law in 2021, and prior to joining our firm, she worked as criminal defense attorney. Keegan is licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio.
Keegan obtained her law degree from NKU Chase College of Law in 2021. She was one of only a few students picked for the Lunsford Academy, an Honors program focusing on the connection between law, business, and technology. During her time at Chase, Keegan founded the Chase Animal Legal Defense Fund; a chapter of a national organization that fights for the legal rights of animals in abuse cases, farming practices, and laboratory testing. Keegan also externed with the Kentucky Innocence Project, fighting against wrongful convictions in the criminal justice system.
Keegan spent the beginning of her legal career as a Public Defender, to ensure constitutional rights were upheld for her clients, and further prevent wrongful convictions.
From abused animals, criminal defendants (both adult and juvenile), and injured workers, Keegan’s passion is one in the same; to advocate for those who’s voice is not heard; to make sure your rights under the law are upheld.
Like many of her clients, Keegan is no stranger to medical appointments and procedures. Keegan underwent 10 surgeries before she was 10 years old, and as an adult has undergone even more. She knows from personal experience how hard medical recovery is; the difficulty of dealing with insurance companies, and the toll that can take on a person. She uses this ongoing experience to connect with her clients, and show them that they are not alone.
Outside of work, Keegan is the mom of a toddler obsessed with outer-space, with a love of learning something new everyday.
