Justin Lawrence discusses fatal Metro accident on Fox19

Posted on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 at 3:14 pm

In an article from Fox19, attorney Justin Lawrence discusses a fatal Metro bus accident with a pedestrian.

An 87-year old woman was hit by a bus while using a crosswalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It later came to light that the driver of the bus was working with a suspended driver’s license. This is not the first instance of a Metro driver with a suspended driver’s license causing an accident. Lawrence & Associates Accident and Injury Lawyers, LLC represented a man who was hurt in a 2017 accident in which a Metro employee who was driving on a suspended license crashed into a motorhome.

This dangerous pattern should not be allowed to continue. Currently, Metro employees are required to self-report changes in their license’s status. As it stands, it doesn’t appear that this process is always working.
